Triconex 3361 Analog Input/Digital Input Module Overview

The Triconex 3361 is a hybrid I/O module for critical control applications. It features 32 commoned points with both analog and digital channels. This module supports TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) architecture for high reliability. You can use the Triconex 3361 in safety systems and process automation. Its hot-spare design allows online module replacement without system shutdown.

Diagnostics and Fault Handling

The Triconex 3361 sustains complete ongoing diagnostics for each channel. A detected channel failure turns on the Fault indicator. This indicator identifies a specific channel fault, not a full module failure. The Triconex 3361 operates properly with a single fault. It may continue with multiple faults present.

Compatibility

The Triconex 3361 module works with the Model 2361 AI/DI Baseplate. It also works with the AI/DI External Termination Baseplate. The module has mechanical keying to prevent wrong installation.

Follow these steps to install the Triconex 3361 correctly:

  1. Ensure the system power is completely off before installation.

  2. Verify the baseplate is the correct Model 2361 or external termination type.

  3. Check the mechanical keying alignment on the baseplate.
