Standard Cable: 75Ω triaxial FEP insulated cable available in 0.5 to 9 meter lengths
FluidLoc Option (-12): Provides additional fluid sealing for the cable connection. Note that most 330106 installations do not need this option. The probe sleeve already offers good protection. Only select this option for specific high-fluid exposure applications.
Connector Material: Gold-plated brass or gold-plated beryllium copper
Tensile Strength: 330 N (75 lbf) from probe case to probe lead. The cable connectors handle 270 N (60 lbf).
Environmental and Performance Data
Standard Temperature Range: -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F)
Extended Temperature Cable: PFA insulated cable rated for tip up to +218°C and cable up to +260°C
Temperature Warning: Exposing this probe below -34°C (-30°F) may cause premature pressure seal failure.
Humidity Performance: Less than 3% change in Average Scale Factor (ASF) when tested at 93% humidity for 56 days per IEC 68-2-3
Pressure Seal: Viton® O-ring provides differential pressure sealing between tip and case. Bently Nevada does not pressure test probes before shipment.
Installation Guide for the 3300 XL Reverse Mount Probe
First, inspect the mounting hole and probe threads for any damage. Second, screw the 330106-05-30-30-12-CN into the 8mm reverse mount hole by hand. Turn until the probe tip contacts the target shaft surface. Third, back the probe out by 1/4 to 1/2 turn to set the initial air gap. Fourth, tighten the lock nut to the specified torque. Fifth, connect the FluidLoc ClickLoc connector securely to the extension cable. Do not exceed the 15mm thread engagement limit. Keep the cable away from sharp edges and high heat sources.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What makes the FluidLoc option (-12) different from standard connectors?
The FluidLoc cable provides extra sealing against oil and fluid ingress. Most 330106 probes do not need this option due to the existing probe sleeve protection. Use it only for applications with continuous fluid exposure.
2. Can I use the 330106-05-30-30-12-CN with a 3500 monitoring system?
Yes, this probe works with the 3500 rack system. You need a compatible 3300 XL proximitor and extension cable for proper operation.
3. What does "Country Specific" approval (CN) mean for this probe?
The CN approval means the probe meets local regulatory standards for the destination country. It does not include ATEX, CSA, or IECEx certifications found on the -05 option.
4. How do I verify the probe's DC resistance value?
Measure resistance between the center conductor and outer conductor using a multimeter. A reading of 8.17 ± 0.50Ω confirms the 3.0m cable length is correct.
5. Is the 3.0 meter cable length field-replaceable?
No, the cable is integrated into the 330106-05-30-30-12-CN. You cannot replace the cable separately. Use a Bently Nevada extension cable for longer distances between probe and proximitor.
