Overview
The Meggitt (Vibro-Meter) 204-900-000-011-A1-B21-C1-H10-I0 is a complete proximity measuring system. This system includes an eddy-current sensor and an IQS900 signal conditioner. It measures shaft relative vibration and position. The system supports both current and voltage output signals.
This Vibro-Meter model has a standard environment rating. The design follows API 670 recommendations. It works perfectly with VM600Mk2, VM600, and VibroSmart® monitoring systems.
Technical Specifications
The 204-900-000-011-A1-B21-C1-H10-I0 system consists of a sensor and an IQS900 conditioner. The sensor uses the eddy-current principle for non-contact measurement. The system provides diagnostic capabilities to detect measurement chain problems.

Key Features
This Vibro-Meter system offers flexible output options. Users can choose 2-wire current output or 3-wire voltage output. The 8 mV/µm sensitivity provides accurate gap measurement. The 2 mm measurement range suits most vibration monitoring applications.
The IQS900 signal conditioner includes diagnostic features. Current values outside −15.5 to −20.5 mA indicate problems. Voltage values outside −1.6 to −17.6 V also signal issues. This helps users identify sensor or cable faults quickly.
The low output impedance enables use with galvanic isolators. A 100 Ω output driving a 10 kΩ input loses only 1% signal. Short-circuit protection (35 mA) and overvoltage protection (−33 VDC) ensure reliability.

Installation Guidelines
Mount the IQS900 signal conditioner using two M4 screws. The optional MA130 DIN-rail adaptor (order code G2) is also available. Hand-tighten all self-locking coaxial connectors until locked.
Use a limited-power, low-voltage power supply for safety. The recommended monitoring system input impedance is ≤350 Ω for current output. For voltage output, use ≥50 kΩ input impedance.
Install the IQS900 in an industrial enclosure for environmental protection. The IP20 rating is suitable for indoor use only. Keep the sensor cable away from high-voltage wiring.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What is the sensitivity of the Meggitt 204-900-000-011 system?
The 204-900-000-011-A1-B21-C1-H10-I0 has 8 mV/µm sensitivity. The B21 code specifies this sensitivity with a 2 mm measurement range.
2. Can this Vibro-Meter system detect sensor cable faults?
Yes. With diagnostic versions, current outside −15.5 to −20.5 mA indicates problems. Voltage outside −1.6 to −17.6 V also signals measurement chain issues.
3. What power supply should I use with the IQS900 conditioner?
Use a limited-power, low-voltage supply with safe limitation of −30 VDC. For safety-related applications, this applies even with a single fault.
4. What is the difference between current and voltage output?
Current output uses 2-wire transmission with −15.5 to −20.5 mA signals. Voltage output uses 3-wire transmission with −1.6 to −17.6 V signals. The 204-900-000-011 supports both.
5. Does the IQS900 require a DIN-rail adaptor for mounting?
No. The I0 code means this unit ships without the DIN-rail adaptor. Mount it directly with two M4 screws. Order the MA130 adaptor separately if needed.
