Installation and Wiring Guide
Mount the T8830 on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. Connect dual 24 V DC power feeds to the PWR TB terminal block. The FTA commons both feeds using internal diodes. Check the green LED to confirm power supply integrity. Wire each field device using 2-wire connections. Connect the device positive wire through the 50 mA fuse. The T8830 provides one fuse per channel. Use the 250 Ω resistor to convert current to voltage. The analog input module reads this voltage signal. Connect the T8431 module to SK1 using a 96-way cable. The SmartSlot connector SK2 supports Version 1 hot replacement. Do not use SK2 for SmartSlot Version 2 systems. Terminate all 40 input signals on the provided terminal blocks. Use 12 three-way terminal blocks for most connections. Use 2 two-way terminal blocks for the remaining channels.
