Genius hand-held monitors (version 4.6 or later)
The IC670GBI002 mounts on a terminal block for bus interface units. Power connections and communication cables terminate on this block. The unit mounts on a standard DIN rail of at least 108 mm (4.25 inches) size. Use a DIN rail made of good conductive material. The material should resist oxidation and corrosion. The DIN rail must connect to the grounding system. The unit accepts wire gauge of AWG #14.
Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install the IC670GBI002 properly. Mount the terminal block on a standard DIN rail. Ensure the DIN rail connects to the grounding system. Use a DIN rail at least 108 mm (4.25 inches) long. Attach the IC670GBI002 to the terminal block. Connect external power from 18 to 30 VDC (24 VDC nominal). Alternatively connect 90 to 135 VAC at 47 to 63 Hz. Terminate the Genius Bus communication cables to the terminal block. Install up to eight Field Control I/O modules after the BIU. Ensure you use appropriate module versions for hot insertion. Power up the system and verify normal operation. Use a hand-held monitor version 4.6 or later for diagnostics. Replace the unit without reconfiguring I/O wiring when needed.
